The Ordem dos Médicos will discuss medical cannabis this Wednesday, April 18th, at 18 pm at its headquarters, and invited Cannativa — Associação de Estudos sobre Cannabis, to be present on the main panel.

The discussion will focus on the risks and benefits of using cannabis for therapeutic purposes and will feature four speakers at the main table: Luís Castelo-Branco, from the Ordem dos Médicos (OM), Félix Carvalho, from the Ordem dos Farmacêuticos (OF ), Moisés Ferreira, from Bloco de Esquerda (BE) and Javier Pedraza Valiente, from Cannativa — Association of Studies on Cannabis.

The discussion will be open to the audience at the end of the debate, providing for the intervention and contributions of other specialists in the area such as Cristina Rodrigues, People-Animals-Nature (PAN), Marta Marcelino, from Infarmed, Ana Rita Andrade, Internal Medicine General Medicine and Family and Multiple Sclerosis patient, Ricardo Baptista Leite, from the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and António Vaz Carneiro, from the Center for Evidence-Based Medicine Studies.
