After Tel Aviv and São Paulo, the international conference on medical cannabis CannX arrives in Portugal on the 12th and 13th of February, at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL). Participating healthcare professionals will be awarded 14 CME credits – Continuing Medical Education, or Continuing Medical Education.

According to the organizers of the event, CannX aims to be a global meeting point for collaboration between all stakeholders in the cannabis industry. The event will bring to Portugal dozens of international speakers, including health professionals, farmers, entrepreneurs and investors, to share knowledge about the latest developments, innovations and opportunities in the field of medical cannabis.

Lectures will present the latest scientific developments and growth opportunities in the field of medical cannabis, including new therapeutic uses, regulatory frameworks, investments and advanced technology, among others.

The conference program includes the following topics for debate:

  • The Endocannabinoid System as an Emerging Target of Pharmacotherapy
  • New Clinical Research in Diseases such as Dementia, Autism, Diabetes, Tourette Syndrome and Cardiovascular Pathologies
  • Entering the Pharmaceutical Industry – How to Meet Pharmaceutical Principles
  • Methods of Administration and Dosage
  • How to regulate Medicinal Cannabis for the Safety and Satisfaction of Public, Industry and Patient Policies
  • Advanced Growth Technologies – including Tissue Culture and Vertical Growth Technologies
  • Plant Control and Testing: How to Produce High Quality Crops

In addition to the conference, there will also be a one-day medical course entitled “Introduction to Endocannabinology and Cannabis for Medicinal Purposes”, suitable for anyone who wants to get more detailed information about the various applications of medical cannabis and learn about the physiology of the endocannabinoid system.

For Raquel Peyraube, coordinator of CannX Lisboa, “there are many events about medical cannabis, but none brings together an entire ecosystem of two intensive days of learning, networking and sharing ideas. CannX offers courses for doctors and scientists, agronomists and entrepreneurs, as well as farmers and producers.”

CannX is carried out in partnership with Cann10, an Israeli company that makes investments in the field of medical cannabis, such as startups, Research & Development, cultivation and training.

The complete CannX Lisbon program can be found at https://lisbon.cannx.org/.

Registration for the event is available until the 5th of February and must be done at official conference page.
