Medical students from Porto discuss Cannabis for recreational purposes
At a time when Portugal and the rest of the world are facing the pandemic caused by COVID-19, the Association of Medical Students of the University of Porto (AEFMUP) promotes an online debate on the use of cannabis for recreational purposes. It's today, Wednesday, at 19 pm, with Facebook broadcast from AEFMUP.
The debate, which will be broadcast live on Facebook, will discuss the use of cannabis for recreational purposes. In the YouTube video promoting the event, we can read that “in adverse times like the ones we are currently experiencing, we must be able to look beyond the near future that lies ahead and is full of challenges”. The student association recalls that “The truth is that there will always be a post-corona period and more divisive issues cannot be forgotten”.
The panel will be composed by João Goulão, director of the Intervention Service in Addictive Behaviors and Dependencies; Ricardo Baptista Leite, physician and deputy of the AR for the PSD; Bruno Maia, physician and founder of the Board of the Portuguese Observatory of Medicinal Cannabis; Rosa Gonçalves, physician and clinical director of the Conde de Ferreira Hospital Center; and with the support of the doctor and professor Maria Augusta Vieira Coelho.
