Materia enters into distribution agreement with Aphria in Germany

A Subject, a medical cannabis and wellness company focused on the European market, announced On February 23, its subsidiary Materia Deutschland GmbH is expanding its portfolio of medical cannabis products, offered to pharmacies across Germany.

The German company, Materia Deutschland, has entered into a commercial supply agreement with CC Pharma GmbH (“CC Pharma”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Aphria Inc., company that merged with Tilray, to distribute its high-quality Aphria-branded flower products across the entire Materia pharmacy network in Germany. In accordance with the terms of this agreement, CC Pharma will import and release batches of products to Materia Deutschland assuming responsibility for sales and service at the pharmacy.

Separately, Materia Deutschland has also entered into an agreement with an EU-GMP certified supplier of dronabinol, an API consisting of pure THC, which accounts for approximately 35% of all publicly reimbursed medical cannabis prescriptions in Germany, including finished pharmaceuticals. .

The addition of Aphria flower and dronabinol will reinforce Materia Deutschland's offering to customers and accelerate its growth potential in the German market. Materia has already started sales of dronabinol, while sales of Aphria-branded products to pharmacies will begin in the coming weeks.
