FastForward Innovations invests in Eurox Pharma, a group with operations in Portugal
A FastForward Innovations (FFWD) revealed this week to have made an investment of three million euros in Eurox Pharma, a European medical cannabis company, based in Germany and with operations in Portugal. FFWD expects to hold 8,85% of Eurox, following the issuance of new shares resulting from this funding round.
This investment in Eurox gives FastForward direct exposure to a company focused on the German medical cannabis market, by far the largest in Europe, which is well positioned in Germany and the European medical cannabis sector, with its main operations in Germany, Portugal and United Kingdom. FFWD's vice president of Investment Analysis, Alfredo Pascual, is expected to join Eurox's supervisory board (Aufsichtsrat). “Eurox has built a strong value proposition with the ability to develop, manufacture and sell its own exclusive, German-made and EU GMP certified private label medical cannabis extracts and isolates,” he said.
FastForward Innovations had already invested in the British company EMMAC Life Sciences, the company that acquired the Portuguese company Terra Verde, having sold that stake in an operation that generated 7,5 million euros.
