Medical Cannabis Europe brings together professionals from the medical cannabis industry in Lisbon

The medical cannabis industry in Portugal is the central theme of the Medical Cannabis Europe, a conference that opens on the 16th and 17th of September, at the Hotel Ramada, in Lisbon. The event is promoted by Stepwise Pharma & Engineering and Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Studies (LEF) and is intended for professionals and investors in the medical cannabis industry.

With national and international speakers, the event includes a list of topics ranging from the cultivation and manufacture to the distribution and commercialization of medical cannabis in the national and European market, as well as the applicable regulatory requirements, good industry practices, security to have with the plant and its quality system.

The panel is composed of several experts in the field of medical cannabis and the professionals who work in it, from lawyers, technicians, managers, pharmacists and other health professionals. Eduardo Nogueira Pinto, partner and head of the Department of Health, Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical Practices at PLMJ, Pedro Lomba, partner and head of the Department of Technology, Mobility and Communications at PLMJ, Pauric Duffy, Founder of Holigen, Vera Broder, CEO of MediCane Health Incorporated in Portugal, Lukas Röth and Tobias Viegener, co-founders of CSCLife, Sérgio Bagulho, head of security at TAP and ANF (National Association of Pharmacies), Amit Edri, co-founder and CEO of Portocanna, Carlos Lacava, vice president of the International Federation of Pharmacists (FIP) or Graça Flores, responsible for  Compliance at Cleaver Leaves, are just some of the names that will participate in this event. The conference will favor contact between all parties, which is one of the reasons for the event to be in person. According to the press release, the main objective of this event is to promote networking among industry professionals and that is why the social space is so important. There will be several moments ofcoffee break, extended lunch periods, Wine & Cheese two hours at the end of the first day of the conference and finally a special panel of sharing experience in audits and inspections”. Exchanging ideas and experiences, dialoguing and sharing points of view between participants and companies will be one of the particularities of this conference.
