A cannadouro, the International Hemp Fair that takes place every year at Alfândega do Porto, starts next Saturday, November 20th, with a exhibition zone where around 60 national and international companies will be represented. The annual exhibition of brands and products related to hemp and cannabis culture also includes the presence of various associations and a cycle of conferences, especially dedicated to hemp and Brazil. The event takes place over two days, Saturday and Sunday (20 and 21 November), between 11 am and 19 pm. You tickets cost €10 (1 day) or €12 (both days).
During the two days of the event, visitors will have access to a variety of information about the agricultural, industrial, therapeutic, medicinal and recreational use of cannabis today, either in the stands present in the exhibition area or through the conferences. The exhibition space will once again be occupied by around 60 national and international companies related to the current uses of cannabis and representing all the innovative and entrepreneurial capacity of this business sector in strong national and global expansion.
For João Carvalho, director of the event, Cannadouro has established itself, since 2017, as “the meeting point for the cannabis culture of the entire Atlantic strip of the Iberian Peninsula, receiving visitors from the Algarve to Galicia. The conferences continue to be a commitment by Cannadouro to promote public debate within civil society around the use of hemp in all its aspects: agricultural, industrial, recreational and medicinal”. This year, the conference cycle will focus on the situation in Brazil, with several Brazilian speakers invited to share their experiences.
In addition to the fair and conferences, Cannadouro will have a cultural area with exhibitions of photography, music and a craft fair for sustainable products. In the associative area there will be several associations and collectives that approach, study and work on the different uses of cannabis.
The outdoor area includes the restaurant part with food truck, supported by a large tent, with DJ performances and a vaping.
