Social Weed and Cannareporter are promoting this Wednesday, April 20th, “Conversas 4:20”, an event to celebrate cannabis day, at the cultural space of the Crew Hassan association, in Lisbon. The event includes a workshop on the cultivation of cannabis for therapeutic purposes and a round table with five guests, who will address the work and business opportunities in the cannabis industry, in addition to several parallel activities related to the most talked about plant in the world. The “Conversas 4:20” project was born from a partnership between Social Weed, an audiovisual and cultural producer focused on initiatives related to cannabis culture, and CannaReporter, an online newspaper about cannabis, founded in 2017, with the aim of to promote socialization, information and debate current issues or trends in the cannabis market. The idea is also that these conversations take place at least once a month, in order to disseminate more information and bring together the community of activists for the legalization of cannabis in Portugal.

Luna Vargas is a social scientist from PUC-SP and a master's in social anthropology and ethnomusicology from EHESS-France. In 2007 he began his research in the cannabis universe, focusing on culture. Since 2018, he has been investigating the cannabis market in Canada, where he has developed an education program, while curating and researching products from over 500 companies operating in Canada's legal market. Always focusing on quality and safety, in 2020 she created INFLORE, a training course for those who want to work in the cannabis industry in its various areas. With more than 200 graduated students, INFLORE is currently in 8 countries and 3 continents, promoting knowledge within the market and raising the education of the general population about the plant.
Humberto Joao Nogueira - Vice President of ACCIP
Consultant, vice-president of ACCIP and active collaborator of CannaCasa – Associação do Cânhamo Industrial de Portugal, Humberto João Nogueira is a Portuguese-Angolan entrepreneur, producer and agro-industrial consultant, dedicated to industrial hemp, being also linked to cannabis consultancy medicinal. His professional career in the cannabis industry began in 2014, in Angola, for medicinal and industrial purposes, and later, in 2017, in Portugal, with a greater focus on industrial hemp. In 2018 he was responsible for producing the first hemp flower cultivation declared in Portugal and since that year he has cultivated and supported other projects. He has been collaborating with CannaCasa since 2019 and in 2021 he became the vice-presidency of ACCIP – Industrial Hemp Traders Association of Portugal.
Sergio Neto – CEO and Founder of Pure Healing
Co-founder and board member from Pure Healing, a 100% Portuguese company dedicated to the cultivation and study of cannabis for medicinal and scientific purposes, Sérgio Neto entered the medical cannabis business after seeing the benefits that the plant had in the last years of his life. grandfather. Winner of two Dutch Passion awards for achieving the highest levels of THC in two autoflowering plants, Sérgio will share some of his experience in organic cannabis cultivation and the creation of Pure Healing.
André Paquete Carvalho – Retail Manager – Sensi Seeds, Amsterdam
André Paquete Carvalho, from Madeira, studied biochemistry before moving to the UK, where he worked in a head-shop and combined his personal passion with his professional career. He later opened a grow shop in Funchal, but ended up moving to Holland in 2015, where he decided to start from scratch. He sent CVs to several seed banks and Sensi Seeds invited him for an interview. Today he is Amsterdam's Retail Manager, he manages 4 official stores and two museum spaces, where he has a team of 20 to 25 members. André says that he works a lot, but with pleasure.
Marta Vinhas – Founder of Sensi Hemp
Marta Vinhas worked for 20 years in the textile industry and realized the negative impact it had, both on an environmental and social level.
