A new educational platform was launched this week by Tilray Medical, with the aim of informing healthcare professionals, caregivers and patients about the medical use of cannabis. It's called WeCare – Medical Cannabis and is now available across Europe.
Tilray continues its mission to provide science and research-based cannabis content tailored to healthcare professionals, caregivers and patients to help them make informed decisions along the way. The platform serves to “discover how the medicinal use of cannabis can support everyday well-being and health,” Tilray Medical said in official statement.
The platform was designed as a unique and comprehensive resource on medical cannabis knowledge and is now available in Portugal, France, Germany and the UK. “As global pioneers in medical cannabis, we are aware of the lack of access to science-based medical education,” said Sascha Mielcarek, Director General of Tilray Europe. “WeCare – Medical Cannabis was created to bridge that gap and help provide the resources needed to help patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals with the information they need to make informed decisions about medical cannabis. As cannabis legalization continues to expand across Europe, Tilray Medical is dedicated to providing informed and trusted guidance to those interested in learning more about medical cannabis.”
Tilray Medical works with patient organizations and medical societies to support those affected by changes within the medical landscape. By providing access to educational platforms like WeCare – Medical Cannabis, Tilray Medical aims to continue to open up and expand its “wellness world”.
Tilray was one of the first companies to become a licensed producer in Canada, having then built the first GMP certified cannabis production facilities in Europe, first in Portugal and later in Germany.
Today, the company is one of the largest suppliers of medical cannabis to patients, doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, researchers and governments in 20 countries around the world.
