12th IACM Conference: the ex libris of cannabinoid medicine meets in Basel on 20 and 21 October
It is the oldest and most important scientific conference on cannabinoid medicine in the world and this year it has a luxury poster, which includes the most renowned international doctors and researchers in the field of medical cannabis. THE 12th Conference on Cannabinoids in Medicine, “Cannabis Medicinalis”, takes place on the 20th and 21st of October 2022 at the Congress Center in Basel, Switzerland, and will feature more than 30 speakers to discuss and present the latest advances in cannabinoid science and medicine. Cannareporter is the Media partner of this pioneering and prestigious conference, which has been in existence for over 20 years.
The event is promoted by IACM (International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines), which held its first informal meeting in Wolfsburg, Germany, on 16 September 2000, more than 22 years ago. This year, the organization joins for the first time the SSCM (Swiss Society of Cannabis in Medicine) as a partner of an event that already has more than 20 years of support for research and activities related to the medical use of cannabis and cannabinoids.
Poster brings together the most important doctors and researchers in medical cannabis
The Scientific Committee of Cannabis Medicinalis has members from the IACM and the SSCM, among which Franjo Grotenhermen, a German physician who was one of the main founders of the IACM, in March 2000, following the creation of the ACM (German Association for Cannabis as Medicine). Barbara Broers, Daniela Eigenmann, Daniele Piomelli, Deborah Kimless, Ilya Reznik, Raquel Peyraube, Reto Agosti and Rudolf Brenneisen make up the scientific panel that chairs the conference, which includes lectures by more than 30 physicians and researchers from around the world.
