United Nations holds workshop on hemp as a raw material

The UNCTAD Commodities Section (CUnited Nations Conference on Trade and Development), which recently produced a report on industrial hemp, will hold a workshop on the ecological properties and economic potential of hemp in Switzerland. The event takes place in January at the 'Palais des Nations' in Geneva and features several experts and members of the industrial hemp industry.

The workshop, which will be held in room XXI of the Palais des Nations, in Geneva, Switzerland, will have a program dedicated to industrial hemp as a raw material. The event has simultaneous interpretation in English and French and will also be held via telematics (the link will be provided by e-mail one day before the event to registered participants).

The training is open to all UNCTAD Member States. Other organizations, including specialized agencies, intergovernmental bodies and non-governmental organizations in the general and special categories, as well as academia and the private sector, may participate as observers.
