the brand of gin Cannagin Premium, from Córdoba, won the silver medal at the World Gin Awards 2023 as the best Spanish botanical gin, qualifying for the final, which takes place on February 23, in London. Presented by TheDrinksReport.com, a magazine for beverage professionals, these are some of the world's most popular beverage awards.

The World Drinks Awards select the best of all internationally recognized beverage styles, including the Gin Awards, World Beer Awards and World Ciders Awards. Alcoholic beverages are tasted blindly by a jury, made up of international specialists, who evaluate them by aroma, flavor and finish, taking into account other elements and nuances.

With the result, its overall score is added, thus obtaining the best botanical gins by country, which move on to the next stage of evaluation: the best botanical gins in the world. The gala to discover the best gins in the world takes place in London, on the 23rd of February, at the Waldorf Hotel.

For Jaime Muñoz, Managing Director of Mediterranean Quality Spirits, owner of Cannagin, “this award certifies, once again, that we are working in the right direction. It is one more reason to be proud of the product and the team we have”. This isn't the first big recognition for Cannagin Premium.

Last year, its essence and flavor earned it the Superior Taste Award, possibly the most recognized flavor award in the world, whose jury is made up of the most professional team of flavor specialists in the world, including sommeliers e chefs with Michelin stars from restaurants such as El Bulli, in Spain, or Le Jules Vernes, in France.

Also this year, Cannagin Premium was elected by the readers of the magazine “Club de Gourmets” as the “Best Product” of the 12th Edition of the magazine's Awards. The awards ceremony will take place during the 36th Salón Gourmets, which will take place from April 17 to 20, 2023, at IFEMA, in Madrid.
