It was through Twitter that the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Pietr Fiala, announced that he will seek to ensure that foods with CBD are not banned. The working group met today to clarify the rules and find a viable solution for the CBD market in the country.

A joint decision was announced by the rulers of the Czech Republic regarding the banning of foods with CBD in their composition. A proposal, which dictated the banning of these products, has generated opposition in recent weeks. Today, Czech Prime Minister Pietr Fiala announced on Twitter a joint decision that will seek to ensure that CBD is not effectively banned.

The decision resulted from a meeting between the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Bartoš, Agriculture Minister Zdenek Nekula, Legislation Minister Michal Šalomoun and National Anti-Drugs Coordinator Jindřich Vobořil. The group decided that the proposed ban on CBD-containing foods will not come into effect for the time being.

Today, a working group has come together that will work specifically to look at how to ensure that CBD-containing foods remain legal in the Czech Republic. The prime minister had already considered the proposal to be unfortunate of the State Agricultural Inspection to ban CBD extracts in food, having asked the Minister of Agriculture for a more viable solution for this market.
