Alberto Pires' funeral takes place today in Aver-o-Mar, Póvoa de Varzim

The funeral ceremonies for Alberto Pires, who tragically died last Friday in a road accident, will take place today at the Aver-o-Mar cemetery, on Rua de José André, Póvoa de Varzim, starting at 11:30 in the morning. The funeral will be at 16:30 p.m.

Alberto Pires was an unavoidable figure in the cannabis sector and one of the biggest activists for the legalization of the plant in Portugal. He founded Cannadouro – Feira Internacional do Cânhamo do Porto, in partnership with João Carvalho, and was a businessman, owner of the grow and head shop, Planeta Sensi, as well as commercial director of Cannadouro Magazine.

Alberto died last Friday in a motorcycle accident, on Via Norte, in Matosinhos, in the district of Porto. Cannareporter reported the tragic news this article.
