Portugal: Tomorrow there will be a march for the legalization of cannabis in Lisbon and Porto

Portugal hosts tomorrow, May 4th, the March for Cannabis, with the action taking place in Lisbon and also in Porto. The meeting in Lisbon is scheduled for 15:30 pm, in Jardim das Amoreiras, leaving at 16:20 pm towards Largo Camões. In Porto, the meeting is scheduled for the same time, at Praça do Marquês, leaving at 16:20 pm for Praça D. João I.
The March is organized by an informal group of citizens who came together to demand the legalization of cannabis in Portugal and who published a manifesto outlining their 10 essential demands.
“The March for Cannabis is a collective, non-partisan popular voice that defends individual freedom and the recognition of the full potential of this ancient plant. In Portugal, where the history of hemp is intertwined with the nation's roots, it is imperative to update the approach, legalizing and regulating its use for all purposes and recognizing the crucial role that cannabis plays in contemporary society”, it reads in the published document.
