CannaTrade returns to Zurich from May 24th to 26th
CannaTrade – Zurich International Hemp Fair and Festival comes of age in 2024, celebrating its 18th edition, for the fourth time in Halle 622. With more than 6.000 m2 of space, 150 exhibitors from all over the world will present products and information about cannabis industrial, medicinal and recreational.
From grow accessories to CBD and hemp products, information about hemp as medicine, edibles, cosmetics, as well as smoking accessories, CannaTrade offers everything related to hemp.
An important theme at CannaTrade 2024 will also be the pilot projects that have been launched in several Swiss cities. These projects examine the legal distribution of THC-containing cannabis to adult users, paving the way for the anticipated legalization of cannabis in Switzerland, which is expected in the coming years. During the large panel discussion on the topic “Legalization in Switzerland”, which takes place on Friday, May 24, speakers Barbara Gysi (National Councilor and President of the Social Security and Health Commission) and Christian Werz (from the Federal Cabinet of Health Advertising) will precisely address the paths to legalization in Switzerland.
The second main topic of this event is cannabis in medicine. Since August 1, 2024, doctors can easily prescribe cannabis to patients and the cultivation, import and export of medical cannabis has been permitted. At the “Medicinal Cannabis Pavilion”, producers, pharmacists, doctors and patients come together to provide information about available opportunities.
Near Hall 622, the area Chill out with the popular Hemp Food Festival, featuring food stalls from around the world, bars and music, invites visitors to relax and enjoy. In collaboration with Radio Rabe (from Bern), the best DJs will play records and, among them, the Swiss Championship in Joint Rolling will take place.
At CannaTrade, business customers enjoy a networking relaxed in the Business Lounge, and Swiss CBD producers will compete once again in the CannaSwissCup in 2024 to determine the best CBD strains. Fun is guaranteed.
