Germany: Hamburg hosts the 3rd edition of Hamcan on the 2nd and 3rd of August

It is the main international conference and convention on cannabis in northern Germany and kicks off this weekend in the heart of Hamburg for its third edition. With medical cannabis legally available to patients since 2017 and the recent legalization of adult use in April 2024, Germany is developing a young but vibrant new cannabis industry. Proving this are the various events dedicated to the plant, all over the country, and Hamcan has already gained its space, in the port of Hamburg.
After Mary Jane, in Berlin, last month, it is now the turn of Hamcan dedicate two days to brands, exhibitors and speakers specializing in the field of cannabis and hemp: it will be on the 2nd and 3rd of August, at Ehemaliges Hauptzollamt Hafen, at Alter Wandrahm, in Hamburg and will feature more than 40 speakers and dozens of exhibitors.
“Following our successful launch in 2022 and 2023, we are preparing our 2024 events with many national and international guests, new and old friends and many experts from the ever-evolving global cannabis cosmos,” says the organization, adding that the “national boom for the cannabis industry is not a promise, but a fact”.
“HamCan is a unique community platform in northern Germany built on 3 solid pillars: our annual international conference in Hamburg with over 40 speakers over 2 days; our monthly patient forum with face-to-face meetings for over 12 months – exclusive in Germany; and our exhibition with a wide variety of what this industry has to offer, including lots of music, art, sport, food and drinks – all based on community-oriented values and fair prices”, informs the event's official website.
In addition to the fair and exhibition, Hamcan welcomes experts in the areas of medicinal cannabis, consultancy and industry development and marketing to discuss topics as varied as business related to this plant, medicinal benefits, cultivation techniques, technology and software or the power influencers in this sector. Furthermore, Hamcan also intends to promote the networking between patients, legal advice, LOBBY politics and entertainment. The speakers and the complete program of conferences, side events and VIP can be found on Hamcan official website.
Dedicated to one of the hottest topics in Germany, Hamcan takes place in a traditional warehouse (the former main Customs office), in the port of Hamburg, and promises to bring together many friends, activists, businesspeople and experts for two days of networking, information exchange, entertainment, music, food, drinks and much more.
Tickets cost between 12 and 265 euros and can be purchased here.
