Thailand: Phuket Cannabis Association to hold 3rd Cannabis Cup this weekend
The Phuket Cannabis Association (PCA) will host the 3rd Phuket Cannabis Cup this weekend, 11th and 12th January 2025, at the Beyond Patong Hotel in Phuket, Thailand. A range of local and international cannabis enthusiasts will gather for an exhibition and competition dedicated to rewarding the best cannabis produced in the country.
“As Thailand’s cannabis industry continues to thrive, the 3rd Phuket Cannabis Cup represents a significant step towards international recognition and collaboration within the global cannabis community,” the association said.
The event aims to “elevate Thailand’s cannabis industry” by bringing together Southeast Asia’s leading cannabis communities, including representatives from the Philippines and Indonesia. Renowned judges from North America and Europe will evaluate the best varieties and products, ensuring global recognition for regional excellence.
“Attendees can expect to see international brands, innovations and some of the best cannabis products competing for prestigious awards. The event provides a platform for enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and industry leaders to network, learn and explore the growing possibilities of Thailand’s cannabis market,” said the organizers.
Competitions will include categories such as The Open, The Standard, Greenhouse & Sungrow, The Budtender, The Edibles, Fastest Joint Rolling and People's Choice Best Dispensary. The event is restricted to individuals aged 20 and over and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Smoking will only be permitted in designated areas and bringing cannabis, food or drinks into the venue is prohibited.
Tickets are limited, with general admission limited to 750 attendees and 250 VIPs. VIP ticket holders will enjoy benefits such as priority entry, exclusive goodie bags and access to an exclusive lounge.
