Czech Republic: KONOPEX 2025 returns to Ostrava from 25 to 27 April
O KONOPEX 2025, one of the largest cannabis festivals and fairs in the Czech Republic, will take place from 25 to 27 April at the Trojhalí Karolina complex in Ostrava. The event is expected to attract thousands of visitors, bringing together more than 120 national and international exhibitors.
With talks from 40 experts on topics such as health, cultivation, extraction and regulation, the fair will also feature hands-on workshops, tastings, competitions and a Cannabis Cup. The highlight will be the Vapo & Medical Zone, where visitors can test vaporizers and get expert advice.
KONOPEX takes place at a time of legislative advances in the Czech Republic, with increased access to medicinal cannabis and discussions about a regulated recreational market.
In addition to the talks and workshops, the event will feature a wide-ranging exhibition of seeds, clones, cultivation, extraction and processing equipment, as well as cannabis-based products such as food, cosmetics and supplements. Industry brands will showcase the latest innovations, offering exclusive discounts and samples to visitors.
The festival will also feature an entertainment area, including concerts and themed competitions. One of the main attractions will be hands-on demonstrations of techniques such as making salves, propagating plants and mixing hemp concrete, allowing visitors to experience first-hand the versatility of cannabis.
The cannabis industry in the Czech Republic is undergoing a transformation, with discussions about decriminalization and the creation of a regulated market soon. From 1 April 2025, general practitioners will also be able to prescribe cannabis, expanding access to treatment for Czech patients.
With a supportive environment and a growing community of enthusiasts and professionals, KONOPEX 2025 promises to be an essential meeting point for patients, growers, entrepreneurs and the curious, reaffirming the Czech Republic’s position as one of Europe’s most progressive countries in cannabis regulation.
According to the KONOPEX organizers, “the European cannabis industry is undergoing significant changes, with the Czech Republic being one of the most progressive countries in the EU. Legislation and conditions are improving for industrial, medicinal and potentially recreational use of cannabis. A key advantage is its location close to the borders, which attracts strong interest and participation from business professionals in neighboring Poland and Slovakia,” they say.
Tickets for the fair are available online and on site, with free entry for people over 65 and people with disabilities.
