Have you tried psychedelics? You have until next Friday, May 16, to take part in a Global Survey, available in 18 languages

Michigan State University in the United States of America (USA) is conducting a global survey on psychedelics among adults over the age of 21 who have had experience with these substances. This is the largest study on the use of psychedelics to date, and is available in 18 languages and accessible in every country in the world. If you have had any experience with psychedelics, you can participate until next Friday, May 16, by this link.
The launch of the Global Psychedelic Survey 2025 (GPS 2025) represents a unique opportunity for adults aged 21+ from countries around the world to contribute to the largest international study of psychedelic use to date.
Based at the University of Michigan, the research aims to collect experiences from people who use psychedelic substances such as LSD, ibogaine, MDMA and psilocybin, among others.
“We believe that the true experts on psychedelics are the people who have tried them. Sharing their lived experiences and knowledge can help reduce stigma and guide public policy to ensure safer, more informed and legal access for both medicinal and non-medicinal uses,” said Philippe Lucas, Director of Research and Safe Access at MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) and the University of Michigan Psychedelic Center.
Philippe Lucas is also coordinating MJP2, a multi-site Phase 2 study of cannabis for treating PTSD in 320 US veterans, as well as supporting research into MDMA for treating war-related trauma/PTSD in conflict zones such as the Balkans, Ukraine, the Middle East and Africa.
GPS 2025 is available globally in 18 languages and will be available online exclusively until May 16, 2025. DIt takes between 30 and 40 minutes to complete, depending on each person’s unique experiences. “This research can significantly contribute to shaping public policy and guiding future research in the years to come,” Philippe Lucas told CannaReporter®.
Who can participate?
Adults 21 or older who have consumed at least one psychedelic substance. Substances may include, but are not limited to, psilocybin-containing mushrooms, LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide), MDMA (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine), ketamine, ayahuasca, and nitrous oxide.
What can participants expect?
The survey should take 30 to 40 minutes to complete and participation is anonymous and voluntary.
According to the team conducting the survey, the GPS already has more than 5.500 responses and includes some surprises, such as the high number of Italian, Japanese, Hebrew and Latin American participants, in addition to representing some opportunities for greater reach in Germany, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.
While all responses will be completely anonymous, participants will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw for 1 of the 15 Amazon Gift Cards worth $100, by voluntarily providing an email address at the end of the survey. However, it is not mandatory to provide any contact information to participate in the survey.
