Berlin heats up for Cannabis Week with Mary Jane, Business of Cannabis B2B Sessions and CB Club x EmpowHer Meetup

The German capital will become the epicentre of the European cannabis scene next week, with a series of high-profile events spanning culture, business and advocacy. With recreational cannabis legalised in Germany last year, industry professionals and enthusiasts will flock to Berlin for what promises to be a landmark week for the international cannabis industry. Leading the bill is mary jane berlin, Germany's largest cannabis exhibition and music festival, which takes place from 20 to 22 June at Messe Berlin and is expecting more than 60,000 visitors.
Now in its 8th year, the event will feature over 500 exhibitors from around the world showcasing the latest in cannabis-related technology, lifestyle, cultivation and wellness. In addition to the exhibition halls, the approximately 60,000 attendees can expect a vibrant festival atmosphere with live concerts, food trucks and numerous side activities such as cannabis cups.
Cannabis-related sales in Germany are expected to reach €2025 billion by 40,000. According to Nhung Nguyen, co-founder of the event, Mary Jane started as “a small gathering of people and now we are the largest cannabis fair in the world. When it came to cannabis, the world used to look to the US – now they look to Germany and Mary Jane is the highlight of the industry,” she said. A record XNUMX tickets have already been sold in advance.
For the first B2B Day, which will take place on 19 June, 5,000 industry representatives from 50 countries have already registered. The professional conference, organised in cooperation with the Cannabis Industry Association (BvCW), will host 90 high-level speakers from the fields of business, science and policy. “We want to showcase all the facets and many positive qualities of cannabis – and why legalisation is the only right way forward,” says Nguyen.
CB Club x EmpowHer Cannabis Society (June 18)
The event will open Cannabis Week in Berlin CB Club x EmpowHer — a unique gathering that highlights female leadership and inclusion in the cannabis industry. A range of cannabis industry leaders will participate in sessions and panel discussions on the industry’s most pressing topics, followed by a relaxed dinner and networking opportunities. Held at the elegant “Atelier” on Moritzplatz, the event will combine relaxation, great food and panel discussions, promising to build community in a relaxed yet purposeful environment.
With speakers ranging from startup founders to lawyers and policy advocates, the event aims to empower and connect women working across all sectors of cannabis. According to the organizers, who co-host CannaTrade in Zurich, “this one-day event, ahead of Mary Jane Berlin, is the perfect opportunity for professionals of all genders to catch up on the latest news, share knowledge and make valuable connections in the dynamic world of cannabis.” The goal is to foster long-term collaboration and amplify underrepresented voices in the industry.
In the morning, the same location will host the Cannabis Kompetenz Tage – an open exchange with experts from cultivation associations.
Business of Cannabis: B2B Conference (June 19)
One day before Mary Jane, on June 19th, the Messe Berlin conference stage will host the conference B2B Business of Cannabis: Berlin, organised by Prohibition Partners, to focus the debate on cannabis trade, business and regulation at European level. This one-day event will bring together policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors and service providers to discuss the new legal landscape in Germany and explore opportunities in Europe’s fastest growing cannabis market.
With a programme of expert panels and networking opportunities, the B2B session promises to cover topics such as licensing, distribution, trade and patient access. It is a must-attend event for anyone navigating the ever-changing regulatory framework or seeking strategic partnerships in the evolving cannabis ecosystem in Germany and beyond.
The convergence of these events highlights Berlin’s growing profile as a hub for cannabis innovation and culture. Whether you’re a seasoned executive, a curious entrepreneur, an activist or a consumer, the city offers a full spectrum of engagement — from high-level discussions and policy analysis to simple networking and grassroots celebrations.
As Germany continues to shape its legal framework for cannabis, these meetings offer an overview of where the industry is headed — and who is leading the charge.
