1st Portuguese Conference on Medicinal Cannabis starts this Friday and includes training for doctors, pharmacists and nurses. 

More than 350 participants are expected on Friday and 70 trainees on Saturday. 

President of Infarmed closes session on the 9th, Friday.

Cannativa — Associação de Estudos sobre Cannabis — holds tomorrow and Saturday, November 9th and 10th, 2018, the LISBON MEDICAL CANNABIS 2018, an international conference entirely dedicated to Cannabis for medicinal purposes, which will be attended by some of the most important doctors and researchers in the field, such as Ethan Russo, Cristina Sanchez, Janosch Kratz, Javier Pedraza, Philippe Lucas and Natalya Kogan.

Day November 9th will be open to everyone who are looking for more information about the therapeutic applications of Cannabis and takes place at the António Domingues de Azevedo Auditorium, at the Order of Certified Accountants, Avenida Defensores de Chaves 85-B, in Lisbon. the second day, 10th of November, exclusively for the training of Health Professionals and takes place at the Hotel Jupiter, Avenida da República 46.

the canadian company Tilray, a licensed global producer of Medicinal Cannabis with operations in Cantanhede, sponsors the event and Maria do Céu Machado, President of Infarmed, closes the first day of the Conference.

Registration at the Conference and Workshops, as well as the request for Accreditation of Journalists, must be done in www.cannativa.pt/conferencia until 00:00 hours today.

The event takes place in English, with simultaneous translation into Portuguese on the 9th. Health students have a 50 percent discount on registration.
