The date for celebrating cannabis culture is approaching! This Saturday, April 20th, is the day that cannabis culture is celebrated all over the world. There are many events at an international level, but Portugal is still taking timid steps in this 4:20 universe, which does not mean that there is no party. The city of Porto hosts an event organized by SeeWeed and the Revolution of Flowers movement, with yoga, massages and conversations, while in Lisbon the 4:20 will take place in Almada, at a party organized by the hemp beer brand Tropical.
The city of Porto will be the stage for a unique celebration, bringing together the SeeWeed brand and the Flores 420 Revolution movement. This event will take place at Cafetaria Viriato and alludes to and pays homage to “4/20”, recognized globally as a day of celebration of plant culture, with “activities, education and meaningful connections”, says the organization.
From 14pm, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy an immersive experience, with yoga or massage classes, offered by Hempy Roots. This session has a limit of participants and requires mandatory reservation. “It aims to provide a moment of relaxation enhanced by the benefits of the plant”, says the press release.
At 15:30 pm, the doors open to the general public. The event will begin with “Tech Talks”, a series of informal conversations with industry experts who will discuss the role of technology in the industrial sector, support programs for entrepreneurs and even a platform that uses technology to identify the ideal strains for each individual, to HashDash.
The event will also feature the presence of DJ Free the Man, guaranteeing a lively afternoon for everyone present.
Tickets are available online for 5,50 euros and can also be purchased for 8 euros on the day of the event. Exclusive experiences can be booked through the organizers' social networks, @_see_weed and @revolucao.flores420.
Almada hosts Tropical party
In the greater Lisbon area, Tropical invites lovers of cannabis culture to come together at Tropical Bud, on Rua Cândido dos Reis, from 18:00 pm.
Animated by DJ Namonster, the informal party is free and will feature House and Techno as background music. Later, there will be a hemp infusion dinner, prepared by a cannabis expert chef, starting at 20:30 pm. Tickets cost 30 euros and include two free Tropical beers.
Of national production, under the responsibility of Fábrica de Cervejas Portuense, the Tropical is the new private label craft beer from Tropical Bud, which sells Hemp and CBD products online and in stores in the Greater Lisbon area (Almada, Seixal, Ericeira and Amadora). It comes in 33 cl bottles and on tap and will soon also be available in selected bars and restaurants. The company explains that its formula contains barley malt, hops, yeast and certified food hemp seeds. This last ingredient “gives Tropical extra strength Craft Beer”, guarantees the company.
