Cannacasa promotes online event related to hemp cultivation

A CannaCasa presented, at the beginning of the week, the Jornadas do Cultivo de Cânhamo, an online event dedicated to the activity of hemp cultivation for industrial purposes. The event will take place on February 28, 2021, Sunday, from 14:00 pm.

In 2020, new regulations were outlined that frame the activity of growing hemp for industrial purposes. This new regulation sparked a huge interest in the community for the cultivation of hemp for industrial purposes.

For this reason, CannaCasa sought to bring together the most prominent players in the Portuguese paradigm concerning hemp for industrial purposes to raise awareness of the new requirements regarding cultivation.

The Hemp Cultivation Days for industrial purposes are a way of bringing together the various players in the industry and converging so that the sector works in a clear, regulated way and without obstacles or impediments.

15:15-15:45 — Choosing varieties to grow

Hemp production is regulated in Portugal by trawl, and the various varieties allowed are those that are present in a European catalog of varieties.
