Edinburgh has a new vegan cafe with hemp in its products

The streets of Edinburgh have gained a cafe serving hemp products, owned by businessman Jas Nottay, who currently offers the public hemp coffees and other hot drinks infused with legal cannabis products. The establishment opened at the beginning of the month.

The entrepreneur's establishment is entirely vegan and will serve products such as muffins, cookies and brownies, made with hemp and CBD oil. THE manager Kat Seale said the response to the new cafe so far has been "extremely positive". “It's been fantastic since we opened” stated the manager. “People keep coming back for more and are really enjoying our products.”

Customers have the option of purchasing a coffee made with hemp-infused beans or they can purchase a hot drink with drops of CBD oil added, for an extra cost of 75 UK cents.

The manager also said there are “customers who come because they want the hemp-infused drinks and foods, but also many who come in just curious to try them. We are not legally allowed to advertise what we believe hemp oil and CBD are good for in coffee, so when people ask, I always encourage them to do their own research.”

Although the owner of the establishment assumes that most customers represent lower demographics, some of the older generation have been showing up to try the products for wellness-related issues such as pain relief and to help with sleep. Right now, Seale says there is still work to be done at the business and that when coronavirus restrictions are eased, it will be able to accommodate up to XNUMX people inside the cafe, with social distancing rules in place.

The cafe was supposed to open in October last year, but due to “uncertainties” in the times of Covid, the date was postponed several times until February 2021.
