Lance Emanuel is the new president and interim CEO of Flowr, confirmed to Cannareporter Thierry Elmaleh, Head of Capital Markets of the Canadian multinational. Just a week after announcing the harvest of three tons of medical cannabis in Aljustrel: Financial Post published a statement with the new structure of Flowr. Vinay Tolia remains on the Board of Directors, but returns to the United States of America for “personal reasons”.

“In 2021, Vinay Tolia, CEO of Flowr, will step down as CEO and move to the United States for personal reasons. He will remain with the company until the end of February to ensure a smooth transition. Mr. Tolia will remain on the Board of Directors.”

Lance Emanuel joined Flowr in January 2019 and has been transforming small start-ups into multi-million companies, while overseeing critical aspects of business operations in highly regulated markets for over a decade. Emanuel has extensive experience in sales management, marketing, product management, R&D, technology, legal, compliance and regulatory affairs, as well as securing debt and equity financing and creating large-scale strategic partnerships. Lance earned a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) with distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City.
Flowr also announced the new appointments to the Board of Directors, which include Jörg Cieslok, Michael Galego, Vincent Gasparro and Joanne Lee. In addition, Stephen Arbib, Jonathan Goldman and Francisco Ortiz von Bismarck have been appointed as observers to the Board of Directors, which will continue to be led by the current Chairman of the Board and Head of Strategy, Steve Klein. The new nominees join the following directors: Steve Klein (President), Vinay Tolia, Thomas Flow, Don Duet and Maurice Levesque.
