GNR says it seized more than three thousand cannabis plants in Sertã

The GNR Territorial Command of Castelo Branco this morning issued a press release (with video) in which he states that he arrested a 32-year-old man for cultivating narcotics, yesterday, September 23, in Sertã, Castelo Branco. THE Cannareporter learned that this is Pawel Soyer, a farmer who has been trying to grow hemp for several years in Portugal and that had already been arrested last year for the same reasons.
We are trying to find out, with the GNR and the Judiciary Police (PJ), what was the result of the analysis by the Scientific Police Laboratory of the plants seized last year, in order to confirm whether it is cannabis or industrial hemp.
In today's statement from the GNR you can read:
“As part of an investigation into drug trafficking, which began in July, it was possible to establish that the suspect had a cannabis plantation on agricultural land, which culminated in the execution of four search warrants outside the home, namely of agricultural land and attachment.
During the investigation, it was possible to seize various material, highlighting the following objects:
- 3 cannabis plants;
- 74 kilos of Cannabis flowering tops;
- Six wooden dryers;
- Five water tanks;
- Three water pumps;
- A vehicle;
- An irrigation engine;
- A cultivator;
- a dehumidifier
- Various fertilizer bags;
- Various material related to the cutting and drying of plants.
The detainee remained at Guarda facilities until today and will be present at the Sertã Judicial Court, for the application of coercive measures. This action included the reinforcement of the Intervention Detachment (DI), elements of the Operational Criminal Investigation and the Criminalistics subsection.
