Infarmed reveals the destination countries for the 30 tons of cannabis flower exported from Portugal

As 30 tons of exported cannabis flower from Portugal in 2021 their main destinations were Australia, France, the United Kingdom and the United States of America (USA), in addition to Germany, Israel, Malta and Spain, where 4,5 tonnes had already been exported in 2020. Infarmed – Autoridade Nacional do Medicina e Produtos de Saúde, IP confirmed today to Cannareporter the quantities of cannabis flower exported in 2020 and 2021 and their respective destinations, without specifying, however, which quantities went where.

“The exported quantity of dried flower (moisture content not exceeding 10%) during the year 2020 was approximately 4,5 tons” and “the export destinations were Germany, Israel, Malta and Spain”, confirmed Infarmed. , in an email sent to Cannareporter.

“The estimated amount harvested for the year 2021 was around 30 tons” and in relation to destinations “in 2021, Australia, France, the United Kingdom and the USA are added”.

“The amount exported in 2022, to date, was around 10 tons”.

Infarmed did not reveal, however, how many tons were exported to each country or which companies, from 18 already licensed in Portugal, to export what quantities and to where, citing “commercial” reasons of the companies themselves.
