Stepwise Academy conducts medicinal cultivation course this Thursday in Lisbon
A Stepwise Academy will hold its first face-to-face training course, dedicated to the Cultivation of Medicinal Cannabis, this coming Thursday, February 24th, at the VIP Executive Art's Hotel, in Lisbon. The training, given by Natalia Lopez, takes place between 09 am and 18 pm and is aimed at professionals in the medical cannabis industry in Europe, from those directly involved in the cultivation of plants, to those who wish to complement their role in medical cannabis, thereby gaining a comprehensive understanding of the commercial cultivation process.
Natalia Lopez has “extensive experience designing commercial crops, developing production plans, training staff in practical cannabis horticulture, planning R&D trials and managing all aspects of large-scale cultivation sites,” the event’s website says.
According to Aldo Vidinha, CEO of Stepwise, “the aim of this course is to provide an introduction to the theory and practice of cannabis cultivation, from seed to harvest, i.e. from a seed material or clones, to a final dry product. and cured”.
Topics covered will provide a framework for understanding the fundamentals of commercially growing medical cannabis and preparing the team to work with that culture. The course includes a focus on risk mitigation at each stage of the crop growth and optimization cycle in order to maximize yields and avoid unnecessary capital expenditures and avoidable mistakes.

2. Propagation of Cannabis
3. Understanding the Vegetative Cycle
4. Understanding the Flowering Cycle
5. Nutrient Management and Problem Solving
6. Integrated Management of Cannabis Pests and Diseases
7. Harvesting Cannabis Plants
8. Drying and Curing Cannabis
9. Summary + Q&A.
The training is limited to 20 participants, costs €545 + VAT and includes presentation slides, certificate of participation, lunch and coffee breaks.
