We tested Rainer's Reefer CBD Flowers and were pleasantly surprised

rainer's reefer is the brand of hemp CBD products created by the Austrian Rainer Jaeger. His passion for surfing, music and cannabis brought him to Portugal in 2018, more specifically to the Ericeira area, where he started growing hemp and developing his own brand. In addition to flowers, which contain approximately 8% CBD, Rainer's Reefer also has other hemp-based CBD products such as CBD oils (with 2,5% and 5% CBD) and three types of Cosmetics, including a sunscreen specially developed for surfers.

Like many other brands of CBD products available in Portugal, this one has always aroused a certain interest in me, especially because it comes from plants grown in the national territory. I had the opportunity to try and analyze some of their flowers, which you can learn a little more about in the small analyzes that follow each one of them.

Driftwood – 8% CBD

The flowers Driftwood have a structure that is not very compact and, despite its apparently more “rough” is justified by the fact that the trimming be done manually, something that is notorious in all other varieties. This peculiarity ends up preserving much more the structure of the trichomes on the outside of the flower, which can be seen in abundance, even with the naked eye, an abundance that is then clearly visible when we analyze the flowers under a microscope.

From the moment you open the package, you can feel a pine aroma, with citrus and blueberry connotations, a mixture that gives it a pleasant aroma, possible to continue to distinguish certain connotations when consumed. Consumption that can provide a smooth sensation of calm and body relaxation, which will certainly please many who are looking for something to help them at the end of the day.

Lemon Breeze – 8% CBD

As Lemon Breeze they have a more compact structure, where green predominates accompanied by brownish, derived from their pistils. All flowers are heavily covered with trichomes. When observing the flowers at a more detailed level, it is possible to see the strong predominance of trichomes throughout the flower.

With a sweet and smooth fruity and citric aroma, the flowers Lemon Breeze immediately send us to an environment reminiscent of summer. When consumed, they provided me with a pleasant feeling of relaxation, which could make them a good choice for those who want to relieve stress after an intense day at work.

Ocean Berry – 8% CBD

moving on to flowers Ocean Berry, have a dark green color, with orange tones in the mix, still having a compact structure and well populated with trichomes, from the outside to the inside. It is thanks to its abundance of trichomes that the floral aroma, with overtones of wild berries, becomes easily noticeable, as soon as the packaging is opened, which gives the feeling of being in a clearing in the middle of spring.

During consumption, it is possible to notice traces of these aromas in its flavor, which give a strong feeling of relaxation. At the same time, I felt a little boost of energy that allowed me to stay active, which makes these flowers a good option for those moments when you want to relax a little, but without being active.

tropical dreams – 8% CBD

Ending with the tropical dreams, although I mostly got the so-called Popcorn Buds, you can see that the flowers of this variety have a compact structure. Even though they are “small” buds, one thing they do not lack is the strong abundance of trichomes, in all of them.

Tropical Dreams have an exotic aroma, in a mixture of fruity and floral connotations, which are noticeable even when consumed. They provide a pleasant feeling of general well-being, which will leave anyone excited and in a good mood, making it a good option for those grayer days.

final opinion

In short, and despite the fact that any of the Rainer's Reefer flower varieties have approximately the same levels of CBD (8%), each one of them turns out to have different characteristics. From the varied aromas that each one presents, to the visual appearance of each one of the flowers, despite the more artisanal appearance, they are still full of trichomes, very visible even to the naked eye. And of course, without forgetting the effects/sensations that each one can provide after its consumption/use, whether for relaxation and stress relief at the end of the day, or to give that boost of energy and good mood at any time.

Without much doubt, the quality of the flowers cultivated by rainer's reefer it is superior and surprised me positively. Even with all the impediments and obstacles that the hemp industry and producers face in Portugal, it is still possible to find many good hemp-based CBD products with national origin, which only demonstrates the great potential that our small country has to the cultivation of high quality hemp.
