Colorado Governor Jared Polis has signed a bill that will allow the online sale of cannabis. According to Marijuana Moment, statements in state legislation that specifically and explicitly restrict the sale of cannabis over the internet will be deleted.

According to the bill signed by the Governor of Colorado, Jared Polis, the measure proposed by representatives William Lindstedt, Said Sharbini and Robert Rodriguez was approved about a month ago by the legislature.

The proposal seeks to remove existing language from Colorado's recreational cannabis law that explicitly prohibits the sale of cannabis over the Internet, while adding provisions for regulating this online commerce, which will now be permitted.

The online purchase process will allow adults aged 21 to purchase cannabis online, but the legislation provides that they still need to physically go to the stores, as the establishment will have to verify, obligatorily, that the name and age presented in the customer identification correspond to the one provided at the time of purchase.
