Auto Cinderella Jack may be the strongest automatic strain ever and the record belongs to the Portuguese medical cannabis company Pure Healing. The flowers of the plant produced by the Portuguese company, which has its plantation near Alcácer do Sal, were recently tested by the Dutch seed bank Dutch Passion with a level of 28% THC and less than 2% CBD.

The tests were carried out with the Purpl PRO device and this “is the highest THC level ever seen by Dutch Passion in the Auto Cinderella Jack plant”, which “illustrates the quality of the finest auto-flowering cannabis seeds”, it reads. if on the Dutch seed bank website.

According to Dutch Passion, “The 28% THC measurement came from the Purpl PRO measuring device. This is a 'dry' analytical device, which uses spectroscopy rather than some of the more complicated traditional wet chemistry analytical techniques. To use Purpl PRO, the flowers are ground into a fine powder and scanned with an infrared light to determine cannabinoid levels. As a general rule, Purpl indicates an accuracy of +/- 2% in THC and CBD.⁣

The company warns that Auto Cinderella Jack's 28% THC levels are exceptional and are only for the most experienced medicinal or recreational users. With this high potency, only a small amount of flowers is needed for a more intense effect. ⁣

Pure Healing bets on 100% organic plants
Sérgio Neto, one of the managers of the Portuguese company, told Cannareporter that “at Pure Healing we take the utmost care of our plants. The methods we apply are 100% natural and result in a completely organic product. We want to establish a position and be a reference in the cultivation of cannabis for medicinal and scientific purposes. 28% THC potency is good, but we get superior results and we don't want to stop there. We will soon share the results of the cannabinoid and terpene profile.”

Pure Healing received the Infarmed pre-license in November 2019 and the production license in August this year, having this month carried out its first harvest, especially of plants grown outdoors, in about 5 thousand square meters. The passion for growing good quality cannabis began a decade ago, when Sérgio's grandmother was diagnosed with leukemia. Sérgio met Ricardo, who was also facing health problems in his family, and both treated their relatives with oils extracted from cannabis, which at the time, they admit, they cultivated illegally. that will bring high quality, organic cannabis to be used for therapeutic purposes. Portugal's stable climate and many hours of sunshine allow for perfect growing conditions and a specially constructed drying area allows for optimal drying/curing conditions for Pure Healing.

From seed genetics to flower potency
Auto Cinderella Jack is a line of high-yield hybrid automatic plants and was created for its high levels of THC, along with its terpenes, which give it a special odor and taste.

Pure Healing has been working closely with Dutch geneticist Head Mahmoud Hanachi of Dutch Passion since obtaining its cultivation license. Mahmoud often helps new licensed growers on the best growing methods, advising on the best seeds and techniques. Part of Pure Healing's approach to high THC crops is to start with the best genetics, as well as investing in optimized growing methods and nutrients with the ideal growing conditions provided by Portugal's mild climate. Pure Healing also uses natural predators to protect plants from pests and its quality strategy also involves working with two independent laboratories that constantly monitor and analyze the quality of its flowers. “This allows continuous improvements from harvest to harvest”, guarantees Sérgio Neto.

Currently, Pure Healing only sells cannabis flowers, producing around two tonnes a year. Its current crop only started to grow in August, when the company received the Infarmed license. It may seem late to start a new production, but when growing automatic plant seeds in a Mediterranean climate, starting in August still allows enough time for the plants to bloom.
