Dutch Legal Cannabis Coalition promotes cannabis symposium at CCB

The Legal Cannabis Coalition (LCC) and WISE Healthcare Solutions are organizing a symposium dedicated to cannabis at the CCB – Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon, on the 20th of April, between 09am and 18pm. With the theme “Best cannabis through collaboration: sharing knowledge of Portugal and the Netherlands” the symposium will focus on the Portuguese medical cannabis market and its growing number of professionals.

According to the LCC press release, “The symposium is aimed at cannabis growers, scientists, politicians, doctors and other professionals with an interest in the field of legal cannabis. This will be a full day of sharing knowledge, experiences and services to support the Portuguese cannabis market.” Presentations and guest speakers will cover all aspects of the cannabis production process, from developing a cultivation plan and obtaining permits, to the post-harvest and quality control steps required for a marketable product.

The Portuguese cannabis market
Arno Hazekamp, founder of LCC in the Netherlands and one of the main organizers of the event explained to Cannareporter that the Legal Cannabis Coalition is a collaboration between experienced service providers in the areas of plant cultivation, quality control and product development. “Portugal is an important pole of professional cannabis cultivation in the European market, with a large number of licensed producers. LCC looks forward to meeting you in Lisbon to share knowledge and experiences and to bring together the best of Portugal and the Netherlands,” he added. The Netherlands and cannabis
The Netherlands is a world leader in the cultivation of fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants in greenhouses and indoors. In 2003, it also became one of the first countries to have a national medical program for standardized, quality-controlled cannabis. As a result, Dutch companies have become world leaders in the fields of cannabis greenhouse construction, optimizing growing conditions and laboratory analysis of cannabis-derived products. “Sharing this knowledge with cannabis professionals around the world is the main focus of the Legal Cannabis Coalition,” says Arno.
