Dutch Legal Cannabis Coalition promotes cannabis symposium at CCB

The Legal Cannabis Coalition (LCC) and WISE Healthcare Solutions are organizing a symposium dedicated to cannabis at the CCB – Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon, on the 20th of April, between 09am and 18pm. With the theme “Best cannabis through collaboration: sharing knowledge of Portugal and the Netherlands” the symposium will focus on the Portuguese medical cannabis market and its growing number of professionals.
According to the LCC press release, “The symposium is aimed at cannabis growers, scientists, politicians, doctors and other professionals with an interest in the field of legal cannabis. This will be a full day of sharing knowledge, experiences and services to support the Portuguese cannabis market.” Presentations and guest speakers will cover all aspects of the cannabis production process, from developing a cultivation plan and obtaining permits, to the post-harvest and quality control steps required for a marketable product.

Arno Hazekamp was a speaker at PTMC – Portugal Medical Cannabis, at the Sheraton Hotel, in Porto, in 2019
The Portuguese cannabis market
Arno Hazekamp, founder of LCC in the Netherlands and one of the main organizers of the event explained to Cannareporter that the Legal Cannabis Coalition is a collaboration between experienced service providers in the areas of plant cultivation, quality control and product development. “Portugal is an important pole of professional cannabis cultivation in the European market, with a large number of licensed producers. LCC looks forward to meeting you in Lisbon to share knowledge and experiences and to bring together the best of Portugal and the Netherlands,” he added. Portugal has become an important gateway to the rapidly growing European market for medical cannabis products. “Dozens of highly specialized cannabis growers are already active in Portugal and local extractive companies, scientists and medical specialists are increasingly involved in this new and exciting market. Having access to the best knowledge and services will help Portugal stay at the top of this highly competitive industry. WISE Healthcare Solutions helps Portuguese cannabis professionals find what they need.”
The Netherlands and cannabis
The Netherlands is a world leader in the cultivation of fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants in greenhouses and indoors. In 2003, it also became one of the first countries to have a national medical program for standardized, quality-controlled cannabis. As a result, Dutch companies have become world leaders in the fields of cannabis greenhouse construction, optimizing growing conditions and laboratory analysis of cannabis-derived products. “Sharing this knowledge with cannabis professionals around the world is the main focus of the Legal Cannabis Coalition,” says Arno.
How to participate in the symposium
According to Alessandro Radici, CEO of Key Leaves and speaker at the event, “all companies interested in entering the Portuguese market, such as producers, extractors or providers of medical cannabis services should join this event. Today, especially in a newly developed business sector such as cannabis, it is extremely important to partner with consultants and receive the right knowledge to raise the bar. know-how from the company. LCC is providing the opportunity to share the knowledge of its cannabis professionals with experience coming from an advanced country like the Netherlands, while WISE has the local knowledge and offers the necessary support services to enter the Portuguese market. Knowledge is everything," he said.

About LCC and Wise HS
The Legal Cannabis Coalition (LCC) started in 2018 as a unique collaboration between Dutch companies in the fields of plant cultivation, laboratory research and regulatory affairs. Each LCC member is an expert in their own market, from building greenhouses and installing LED lights, to laboratory testing and registration of a new drug. Members gained their experience in the general plant growing and medicine markets, but in recent years they have become increasingly involved in the world of legal cannabis. Combining products and expertise, LCC can provide a reliable and experienced one-stop shop for all medical cannabis issues.
