Portimão – Two arrested in possession of more than 2.500 doses of cannabis

The Faro Territorial Command, through the Criminal Investigation Nucleus (NIC) of Portimão, on October 3, arrested two men, aged 53 and 40, for the crime of cultivation and trafficking of narcotics, in the Monchique area.

As part of the investigation, it was possible to collect information on the trafficking and cultivation of cannabis in the Monchique area, which, after several investigations, culminated in the detection of a cannabis plantation.

During the course of the action, five search warrants were complied with, namely five at home and three at home, which resulted in the seizure of the following material:

·         2 doses of cannabis;

· 49 doses of hashish;

· Six grams of cannabis seeds

· Two cannabis plants;

· A cell phone;

· A precision digital scale;

· 960 euros in cash.

The detainees were made arguidos and the facts were reported to the Portimão Judicial Court.
