A ExpoCannabis Brazil will arrive in São Paulo for the first time on the 15th, 16th and 17th of September, bringing together more than 100 experts and authorities from countries such as Brazil, Argentina, the United States, Mexico, Paraguay and Uruguay. The event takes place at the 'São Paulo Expo' Exhibition Center between 11am and 21pm, with dozens of conferences, debates, workshops and panels on various themes centered on three axes: education, health and business development on cannabis. ExpoCannabis expects to receive around 30.000 people in a space that will house 140 exhibitors, spread over 8.000 square meters.
The first edition of the ExpoCannabis Brasil international fair will be divided into two conference spaces: the International Forum and the Knowledge Arena. According to Larissa Uchida, CEO of the event, “ExpoCannabis Brasil is not just an education and communication platform, which our country needs, but a tool for companies, investors and a space for debate about advances in Brazilian legislation”.
At the International Forum, the main conference space of ExpoCannabis Brasil, with capacity for 500 people and with free access to fair visitors, tables, debates and panels on science, technology, medicinal cannabis, diversity will be presented over the three days , hemp, tourism, business, industry, job creation, stimulating business development, public policies and mechanisms for economic and social repair.
The International Forum's program includes researchers from different medical, scientific and pharmaceutical areas and specialties, such as Renato Malcher (UNB), Thiago Pereira (UERJ), Priscila Mazolla (Unicamp), Claudete Oliveira (Unicamp), Alessandra Soares (Former director of Anvisa), Dr. Carolina Nocetti, specialist in cannabis and food, Marcela Ikeda, chemical engineer Ricardo Tolomelli, agronomist Sérgio Barbosa Rocha, Marcia Makana, cannabis consultants Lívia Oliveira and Vera Missen and the specialist in professional training in the cannabis, Luna Vargas.

ExpoCannabis Brasil will receive representatives from international institutions, such as the president of IRCCA, the Cannabis Regulation and Control Institute, the country's largest cannabis authority, Dr. Daniel Rádio, Executive Secretary of the National Drug Board, a federal body linked to the presidency of Republic of the country, Sérgio Vázquez Barrios, head of the area of technical evaluation and control of hemp production projects in Uruguay and representative of the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries on the Council of the Institute for Regulation and Control of Cannabis (IRCCA), Martín Mercado , Director of Industrial Development of the Province of Canelones in Uruguay, Luis Garrido, General Director of Control, control and inspection body of Canelones/Uruguay; Agustín Mimbacas, specialist at the Department of Export Promotion of Uruguay XXI, the agency responsible for promoting exports, investments and the country's image. On the first day of the event, the co-founder of ExpoCannabis Uruguay, Mercedes Ponce de León, Larissa Uchida, CEO of ExpoCannabis Brasil and hemp specialist, Mike Bifari, one of those responsible for the first harvest of hemp for food purposes, will be part of the International Forum's programming. in Argentine Patagonia. Friday, September 15th, the opening day of the international fair, will also host tables on the importance of diversity in the Brazilian cannabis industry and on popular access to cannabis, with the participation of politicians, doctors, representatives of associations, Anvisa and from Fiocruz.
On Saturday, September 16th, there will be a conference on technology and cultivation, with the Brazilian based in Uruguay, Ricardo Tolomelli. The program will also feature debates on the potential of hemp for the continent, business development on cannabis and hemp in Argentina, access to therapeutic cannabis and its derivatives and perspectives on cannabis in Latin America, which will receive representatives from Brazil and countries such as Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
On Sunday, September 17th, the ExpoCannabis Brasil International Forum will host presentations on cannabis tourism in the world, access to veterinary products, the international use of cannabis as food and the science of medical cannabis use. In addition, panels on business in Uruguay and Paraguay will be presented. Closing the program for the third day at the International Forum, there will be a conference on the traditional use of cannabis with Professor Mayara de Queiroz, recounting the paths taken by the plant from Africa to Brazil, a lecture by federal judge Luís Carlos Valois and a table on economic and social repair through the plant. Knowledge Arena facilitates workshops on business, health, science and cultivation
In the Knowledge Arena space, with capacity for 150 people and with free entry for fair visitors, workshops will be presented by associations from all over Brazil, with themes such as soil, extraction, dosing and how to set up your cannabis association, use of hemp as paper and for construction among other practical activities that will have the participation of the public.
The space will also host conversation circles about communication and cannabis with Manuela Borges, Gregório Ventura, Dave Coutinho and Gustavo Maia, cannabis literature with the participation of author and cartoonist Daniel Paiva, medicinal cannabis, with Renata Monteiro, Gabriela Dainese and Cristina Segatto, personalities that support cannabis, with the confirmed participation of actor Ricardo Petraglia and an anti-prohibitionist feminist circle, which will have among other names the participation of Fran Silva and Fani Santos (Renfa), Driele Amunã (CNDH) and Letícia Laranjeira (PsicoCannabis).
